Situated under the shadow of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, Glengyle provides the ideal base camp for walkers, climbers and mountain bikers to explore the rugged beauty of this region. Fort William town centre is a pleasant 10 minute walk away where you will find all local amenities, shops and restaurants.
The Lochaber area provides an enormous choice of activities and things to do and see: walking tours, wild lochs, climbing, fishing, canoeing, cycling, boat trips, whisky tours, golf, skiing, sandy beaches, evening entertainment ... The list goes on and on!
Day trips to Loch Ness, Skye and Oban are all perfectly feasible from Glengyle.
The Harry Potter steam train travels from Fort William to the coastal town of Mallaig and is considered one of the worlds most beautiful rail journeys.
Fort William is a perfect location from which to discover all the attractions and activities that the Highlands and Islands of Scotland have to offer.
